The UTSA Roadrunners travel to Conway to take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in the Myrtle Beach Bowl on Monday. Ordinarily, that would be an exciting matchup in a bowl game that is one of the more entertaining on the schedule. However, both lineups have been decimated ahead of the clash.

Not listed among the Roadrunners players not playing in the Myrtle Beach Bowl are RB Kevorian Barnes and QB Eddie Lee Marburger. Barnes is in the portal and didn’t play in the season finale due to injury, but he is listed on the depth chart. Marburger is in the portal too, but is listed behind starter Owen McCown.

“Who is playing for Coastal Carolina in the Myrtle Beach Bowl is a better question to ask if you’re a Chanticleers fan. There are currently 29 players from the program in the college football transfer portal, including star defensive back McDoom, who has committed to the Cincinnati Bearcats, and starting quarterback Ethan Vasko, who will transfer to the Liberty Flames.
Of those players in the portal, just three are on the Coastal Carolina depth chart. With Vasko and Kim both absent, former North Carolina Tar Heels passer Tad Hudson will make his Chanticleers debut. He hasn’t completed a single pass in his college career, but the 6’3″, 225-pound quarterback is a former four-star recruit who set school passing records in high school.
