The North Carolina Tar Heels are off to a great start in the Bill Belichick era, especially on the recruiting trail.
In fact, Belichick has been able to gain the interest of recruits who won’t be playing college football for another three years.

Bill Belichick Hosts Four-Star Running Back Once Again

The former New England Patriots head coach bringing back the future star running back for another visit means a few things.
First of all, it means that Belichick has plans on being the head coach in Chapel Hill for a long, long time.
Second of all, the eight-time Super Bowl winner has demonstrated his ability to not just recruit this year’s crop of players but future crops of players.
This is something that should excite the entire Tar Heels fan base.
North Carolina’s 2025 Aspirations
Simply put, no one knows what this North Carolina team can accomplish this season because it is the first season in college football for Belichick.
While Mack Brown performed admirably as the team’s head coach for six seasons, the team made just one conference title game appearance in his second stint at the school.
Brown also never won more than nine games in any of his six seasons.
That is the benchmark for Belichick at the very least, especially when you consider what he accomplished at the NFL level.
Fans should have no doubt that there will be plenty of talent that will come through Chapel Hill because of who Belichick is.
In his first season, look for the Tar Heels to at least be bowl eligible.
It would be a stunner if the team accomplished less than that.
A player to watch could be graduate quarterback Max Johnson, who will look to take a major step with Belichick helping him out on the sidelines.
