A Look at Bill Belichick’s Romantic History As Wedding Rumors with Jordon Hudson Surface

According to Zolak & Bertrand, a Boston-area sports radio show, North Carolina HC Bill Belichick and girlfriend Jordon Hudson are engaged and planning to marry this winter in the Boston area.

With Belichick reportedly looking set to be wed in the coming year, it would come as no surprise to many that at his age, the North Carolina Head Coach has been married in the past, having three children with a woman named Debby Clarke.

According to reports from US Weekly, the pair allegedly met when they were teenagers, tying the knot in 1977. The two had three children named Amanda, Steve, and Brian. The two ultimately split 29 years later, when Belichick was still coaching in the NFL. However, the alleged reason for their divorce is unknown.

Following his divorce, Belichick was also linked to former New York Giants receptionist Sharon Shenocca, who was also undergoing a divorce at the time. However, Sharon denied any romantic involvement with the NFL head coach, claiming that he was just a ‘family friend.’

Despite the rumors between him and Shenocca, the Patriots’ coach would not have another official romantic relationship until a year after his divorce, starting a relationship with television correspondent Linda Holliday in 2007.

“In 12 years together, Bill has been so dynamic in supporting the causes that are close to me and actually just supporting me. And I value and love that about him. We’re just honored and privileged.” Holliday told CBS Boston in 2018. The two dated for 16 years, with Holliday being president of the Bill Belichick Foundation during that time period.

In September 2023, it was reported to People Magazine that the two had split up, with the source claiming that troubles in their relationship were “nothing new.”

“Bill is all about football and very busy now. He doesn’t want a lot of public attention on this,” the source explained to the magazine.

However, this is where things get confusing. According to TMZ, the former New England Patriots Head Coach first met his rumored soon-to-be fiancée in 2021 during a flight from Boston to Florida. There, he signed a book for her with the inscription, “Thanks for giving me a course on logic!”

Following his split from Holliday, it apparently did not take Belichick long to move on. In January 2023, Hudson and Belichick were spotted walking through the French Quarter together in New Orleans.

Bill Belichick, who is over 45 years older than Hudson, has caught a significant amount of flack from NFL fans and players alike, including his former Patriot stars, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, and even celebrities like Snoop Dog, who hosted this year’s NFL Honors.

“I’ve been a football fan for a long, long time,” Snoop said during the ceremony. “I mean, I remember back when the Cowboys were good. I remember back when the Chiefs were bad. And I remember… What was it — Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet?”

Now, going into the 2025 season with Belichick set to take his first stint on the sidelines with North Carolina, there will only be more fuel to add to the fire of rumors if the rumors about their upcoming engagement are true.
