Tensions around Bill Belichick’s personal life resurfaced at the annual Boston Pops on Nantucket benefit concert earlier this month, where both his longtime ex-partner Linda Holliday and current girlfriend Jordon Hudson were in attendance.
According to a source who spoke with PEOPLE:
“The event itself was peaceful, fun and everyone minded their own business. The drama began the day after, when Jordon and Melissa were featured as the first slide on Nantucket Inquirer & Mirror’s post about the event. Linda was furious because she wants Jordon to be excluded.”
The tension reportedly escalated into a “verbal incident” between Holliday and Hudson. The source described the situation as “very uncomfortable.”
“It was very uncomfortable. There was a lot being exchanged between them. It was very aggressive behavior,” the source added.
Holliday and Hudson were photographed separately at the Aug. 9 charity event on Jetties Beach. Hudson marked her presence with her friend Melissa Sapini, while Holliday made an appearance with novelist Elin Hilderbrand. Though the evening itself was described as “peaceful” by attendees, the calm did not last for long.
Bill Belichick’s current girlfriend and his former one crossed paths yet again over the weekend.

The encounter comes eight months after the pair’s tense run-in during a Christmas event on the island, where Hudson was allegedly asked to leave.
Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson ‘Madly in Love’ Despite Tensions With Ex Linda Holliday
Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, are moving forward with confidence, even as drama with his longtime ex, Linda Holliday, continues to resurface.
After both women were spotted at the Boston Pops on Nantucket concert earlier this month, insiders revealed Holliday was upset that local coverage prominently featured Hudson. However, those close to Belichick insist the former Patriots coach and Hudson are unfazed, as per the Daily Mail.
“Bill and Jordon would love nothing more than for Linda to get over it,” one insider told Daily Mail. “Linda is Bill’s ex for a reason, he’s moved on, he’s looking forward to the upcoming UNC season and he is madly in love with Jordon.”
Bill Belichick and Linda Holliday were together for 16 years before they split in 2022. He began dating Hudson the following year after meeting her on a flight, despite a nearly five-decade age gap and Hudson’s sometimes rocky public reception.
Hudson, who drew attention earlier this year for off-camera interjections during Belichick’s CBS interview, has also faced criticism from fans and media. But according to the insider, Belichick has made it clear she has his full support.
“Bill has dealt with drama forever in the press,” the source said. “He is reassuring her that it will all be fine.”
Despite the scrutiny, Bill Belichick is focused on football and his new relationship.
“They are having an incredible time together. Bill’s thoughts are directed toward that,” the source added. “The quicker Linda moves on, the better, in Bill and Jordon’s eyes. It’s time to shut it all down.”
