Belichick, who won six Super Bowls as head coach of the New England Patriots, has asked UNC staff to copy Hudson on all emails sent to him.
Matt Hartman of The Assembly broke this news by publishing an email that Belichick addressed to Senior Associate Athletic Director Robbi Pickeral Evans.
“Thank you for your email,” Belichick replied to Robbi Pickeral Evans. “I am including Jordon in this email so she can also keep up with our postings. Can you include her in anything you send to me? Thank you. BB”

This decision provoked different reactions. Shannon Sharpe, a former NFL player, defended Belichick’s decision, comparing Hudson’s act to that of an executive assistant who handles communications and scheduling.
Sharpe remarked that while such duties are usually handled by professionals, involving a close partner isn’t unusual.
While Hudson’s involvement makes sense, given her familiarity with social media, it’s unusual to see Belichick’s team adding her to emails.
The scope of Hudson’s influence within the UNC football program remains a subject of discussion. Some speculate that her involvement could impact team dynamics and decision-making processes, but there is no concrete evidence that her inclusion in communications negatively impacted the program.
It’s another dimension for Belichick at UNC, and it seems he’s doing everything he can to ensure the program runs smoothly.
