Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft were announced to be the coaching finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2026.
In his statement uploaded on Instagram, Belichick expressed his gratitude for the milestone and thanked the selection committee and the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the honor.
He further shared that he is thankful for organizations and the thousands of players and coaches who worked with him in his 49-year-long career in the league.
Belichick labeled the achievement as a “cherishable reflection” of all his teammates in his career, while also congratulating the other finalists.
Lastly, Belichick wrote that he hopes to see all deserving Patriots get selected this year.
Reacting to the post, some fans sensed that it wasn’t Belichick but his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, who wrote the message:
“I hope to see all the deserving patriots”… but let’s not forget… patriots scouts are banned at unc practices.” one fan commented.
“Thank you for everything in New England bill… but your girl gotta go…” another fan said.
“Shoutout Jordon “Autopen” Hudson for this statement.” another fan taunted Belichick.
“The attention to detail in this press release is impressive from a man who resigned as the Jets HC position on a cocktail napkin. “I resign as HC of the NYJ “. It’s almost as if BB didn’t write this. #hijordon.” another fan wrote.
“You take 100% of the shots you don’t take”-Bill Belichick” -Jordan.” another fan joked.
“It’s wild that Brady has to wait 5 years to be eligible but Belichick doesn’t?.’ another fan shared their thoughts.

Rob Gronkowski Opens Up About Bill Belichick’s Potential NFL Return
Bill Belichick came out of his retirement to coach in college football and decided to lead the University of North Carolina; however, his first year there didn’t go as planned, as the program ended the 2025 college football season with an overall record of 4-8.
While Belichick is considered among the greatest coaches of all time in the NFL, others believe he is not a fit for college football.
Talking about his coaching future, Rob Gronkowski said on the “Up & Adams” show on Tuesday that, as there are many job openings available in the league, he believes Belichick’s coaching style fits the NFL more.

“There’s so many openings right now, and I believe that coach Belichick, his mold and his style fits more in the NFL compared to where he’s at now in college football.”
Grownowski added that he can never discount him from potentially coming back to the NFL, but somehow, he doesn’t see him fitting anywhere right now.
