Legendary coach Bill Belichick has been in hot water for his links to 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson. The drama and rumors about her involvement with North Carolina football are nothing new.
However, the often-considered stoic coach is unconcerned and has a different perspective on what is happening following a recent podcast appearance.

When asked about Hudson’s job responsibilities on “The Pivot” podcast, the six-time Super Bowl winner explicitly countered widespread speculation about Hudson’s influence on team operations.
“Well, nothing with North Carolina. That would be number one,“ Belichick clarified, adding that the 24-year-old only helps with his personal matters outside of football.
“It would be personal opportunities. Could be a speaking thing. It could be a — you know — appearance on this or talk about that or somebody wants, whatever it happens to be — autographs or that type of thing. And so, you know, she kind of helped organize that for me,” Belichick explained.
Belichick also addressed misconceptions that arose when he requested that Hudson be copied on emails from UNC.
“One of the first things that came out was when North Carolina sent me emails saying, like ‘These people want to talk to you. These people want to talk to, these people want to talk to.’ I sent back an email, ‘Can you please copy Jordan on these requests?’ He explained.
“So that you know, she could at least filter through them because there was nobody. We didn’t have a sports information guy. That was taken because all the emails are shared, and publicly, that was taken as, ‘Jordan’s running the sports information department.'”
Belichick emphasized that this perception was “totally“ wrong. His comments come amid intense scrutiny over his relationship with the 24-year-old Hudson. Recent rumors suggesting she had been banned from team facilities (later denied by UNC) and speculation about her role have overshadowed the coach’s transition to collegiate coaching.
The University of North Carolina has also issued a statement clarifying Hudson’s status.
“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities. Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football.”
As Belichick prepares for his season at UNC, he and the university hope these clear statements will refocus attention on football rather than personal relationships.
Whether these clarifications will quell the speculation remains to be seen, but for now, the picture seems pretty clear.
