Since his announcement as the head coach for the University of North Carolina football on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, Bill Belichick has been working relentlessly to prepare the program for the 2025 season.
But is the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach all work and no play? Apparently not. Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, were on spring break vacation. The photos and videos from their getaway really caused a backlash.
However, the couple, who confirmed their relationship in June 2024, seems to have developed a thick skin. It’s almost as if criticism rolls off them.
Bill Belichick’s Greatest Catch: Jordon Hudson
In 2024, Belichick and Hudson embraced the Halloween spirit with a playful couple costume. Hudson shared a snapshot on Instagram of Belichick dressed as a fisherman, complete with a fishing rod, while she dazzled as a mermaid. The highlight of the post was the head coach’s cheeky comment: “Biggest Catch.”
It seemed like simple wordplay, but Belichick truly meant it. The 72-year-old and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Hudson, are so tight that she’s even becoming involved in his business affairs. The legendary coach reportedly instructed the University of North Carolina staff to copy Hudson on emails sent to him.
Hudson is active on social media, with over 75K followers on Instagram. It’s easy to see how she could help Belichick with digital communication. However, the request to involve her is odd, given that she isn’t officially part of the university staff.
Belichick and Hudson reportedly met first in Feb. 2021 on a flight from Boston to Florida. They began dating around January 2023 after his split from Linda Holliday, his girlfriend of 16 years. In June 2024, the couple finally confirmed their relationship.

Come Dec. 2024, they made a dazzling red carpet appearance at The Museum Gala. In 2025, they’ve been seen together at major events like NFL Honors, the Super Bowl, and even a UNC basketball game.
With the Tar Heels’ football season just around the corner, there’s no doubt the two will get more attention.
