2025 NFL UDFA Signings That Could Change the League

After the 2025 NFL Draft came to an end, these undrafted free agent signings are catching attention as teams look to find hidden gems to bolster their rosters. It’s happened before where an undrafted free agent signing went on to have a great career, and these teams are hoping it can happen again.

The Miami Dolphins found what they are hoping to be a diamond in the rough when it comes to undrafted free agents as they signed John Saunders. Saunders is 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds. The Ole Miss safety was a turnover machine. He picked up four forced fumbles, three interceptions, and 37 tackles last season.

The Dolphins weren’t done there as they also landed Arkansas Razorbacks wide receiver, Andrew Armstrong. He was very surprisingly not picked during the 2025 NFL Draft. Armstrong made 134 catches for 1,904 yards and six touchdowns in his final two years with Arkansas. During his First-Team All-SEC season in 2024, Armstrong recorded 78 receptions for 1,140 yards with one score.

The Cincinnati Bengals found what they’re hoping is a gem in the undrafted free agency. The Bengals signed Ohio State Buckeyes center, Seth McLaughlin. McLaughlin was ranked as the No. 1 player on ESPN’s best available players list following the 2025 NFL Draft. McLaughlin hopefully will give Joe Burrow some more protection up front.

The Minnesota Vikings were very active during the undrafted free agent portion following the draft. They signed 19 players including the likes of outside linebacker Tyler Batty, wide receiver Silas Bolden, quarterback Max Brosmer, offensive lineman Logan Brown, and more.

The Carolina Panthers may have found their center for the future when they signed undrafted free agent, Luke Kandra from the Elder Panthers. He was said to have had a third-round grade in the 2025 NFL Draft but somehow slipped through the cracks. This could be a great signing for Carolina.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed former Nebraska Cornhuskers linebacker, John Bullock. Bullock wasn’t the only player to get picked up from Nebraska as an undrafted free agent as former wide receiver, Isaiah Neyer, made his way to the San Francisco 49ers.

Perhaps no undrafted free agent signing was bigger than that of the Buccaneers signing Shilo Sanders. Sanders, who has a very famous brother and father, looks to make his own path in the NFL. Now, he has a chance to light up NFL offenses as a safety for the Buccaneers, showing everyone who they passed on.
