Beau Pribula Transfer Portal: Top 5 Potential Landing Spots For Missouri QB

Beau Pribula’s season at Missouri was a “Tale of Two Cities”, with the former Penn State player leading the Mizzou Tigers to a historic 5-0 start, which was followed by a poor performance in the second half of the season and an injury to his ankle that could impact his future mobility.

Sadly for Pribula, during his absence, freshman Matt Zollers rose like a long-term potential starter. Now, Pribula is looking for a team in which to spend his final year of college eligibility and raise his NFL Draft stock.

Top 5 Potential Landing Spots For Beau Pribula

    #5 Penn State Nittany Lions

The return of the prodigal son? Maybe. Drew Allar is out of eligibility and will have to take his chances at the 2026 NFL Draft unless he gets some special dispensation from the NCAA. This opens the door for Beau Pribula to return to Happy Valley and start at his original school for his final year of eligibility. The problem? There have been some changes at Beaver Stadium, with head coach James Franklin getting the boot. The question here is whether he fits in Matt Campbell’s plans.

    #4 Virginia Tech Hokies

Well, James Franklin might no longer be the head coach of the Nittany Lions, but he has already found a new gig at Virginia Tech. Could Beau Pribula be part of his plans to revamp the Hokies for a run at the ACC championship? He also fits Virginia Tech’s offensive scheme thanks to his dual-threat abilities, although it remains to be seen how his ankle has truly healed.

    #3 Syracuse Orange

The Orange seemed to have found something of an identity under Fran Brown and with Kyle McCord in the center of the huddle in 2024. At one point that year, they looked like legit College Football Playoff contenders. 2025 seemingly undid all of their progress from the previous year.

From 10-3, they dropped to 3-9 in 2025. They went through a true quarterback carousel, which included a walk-on and a freshman taking shots at the position. Why not bring a new yet experienced face to the roster?

    #2 Colorado Buffaloes

They are another team that went through a roller coaster of a season at the quarterback position. Kaidon Salter and Ryan Staub proved unable to replicate what Shedeur Sanders did for the Buffaloes, and Julian Lewis seemed too green to be a short-term solution.

While Deion Sanders remains committed to Lewis as a long-term solution, another year on the sidelines might be what he needs. Coach Prime has spoken about the need for experienced leadership to lead the locker room and show Lewis the ropes of the trade. Beau Pribula would fit that bill. The problem remains his ankle and how the injury could have impacted his mobility, as the Buffs’ offensive line remains one of the worst in the country.

    #1 West Virginia Mountaineers

Injuries prevented Nicco Marchiol from being the Mountaineers’ quarterback throughout the entire season. While he received a medical redshirt, which gives him two more years of eligibility, with Beau Pribula back in the picture, West Virginia might decide to change its plans. The Mountaineers chased heavily after Pribula before he decided to go to Missouri. What better way to bounce back from their poor 2025 season than with a new quarterback?
