Walker Buehler has started 2026 with uncertainty over the team he is set to represent in the upcoming season. The pitcher is currently spending the offseason with his wife, McKenzie and their daughter, Finley, as he navigates through his free agency.
McKenzie Buehler used the free time to take on an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with her loyal followers on her Instagram on Wednesday and Thursday. She answered questions related to various aspects of her life.
Buehler answered a question related to building a family. Answering questions related to a second pregnancy, she opened up about the couple’s In Vitro Fertilization-related sessions that helped them conceive Finley.
“Having a big family has ALWAYS been something I’ve wanted and longed for,” she wrote in a story. “I was truly made to be a mom. Unfortunately, we have struggled with fertility issues for some time and luckily we were blessed with Finely through IVF.
“We had every intention of starting another round of IVF this month but were faced with some setbacks so not exactly sure the timeline as of now.”

McKenzie Buehler also revealed the family’s adventures with moving in the middle of the 2025 season after Walker went from playing with the Boston Red Sox to a small stint with the Philadelphia Phillies in September.
“If I’m being honest, moving has become second nature to me, so while still very hard, I have my own system that I know works and it’s almost easier to do all by myself than have help! I will say… having a little constantly unpacking you pack does make it more difficult though!” she wrote.

The MLB regular season has its fair share of traveling. McKenzie wishes to be able to teleport to be able to avoid all the fatigue that comes along.
“With how much we travel it would 100% be teleporting!” she exclaimed.

McKenzie and Walker Buehler, who met as kindergarteners in Kentucky and fell in love in their teens, are used to spending their offseason in their hometown. For a change, they were off to Arizona this winter.
