Toronto Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage and his fiancée, Taylor Frick, are enjoying their offseason in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The rookie is coming off a splendid MLB season, debuting in MLB and becoming the postseason ace for the Blue Jays, who reached the World Series for the first time since 1993.
On Wednesday, Taylor shared two snapshots, capturing the nature and surroundings. The first photo was a trail left by their boat while cruising through fresh waters. Mountains can be seen in the distance. The other snapshot was from Sandal’s Royal Caribbean resort, where the couple enjoyed the evening.
“Last night,” Taylor wrote.

Before coming here, Trey Yesavage proposed to Taylor Frick after the 2025 season ended. The Blue Jays rookie went down on one knee in an open-beach setting, shocking Taylor, who had her hands over her mouth.
“11/13/25 ~ in this lifetime & the next, it will always be you,” she captioned the photo.
Trey Yesavage’s Fiancée Taylor Perfectly Describes Blue Jays’ Rookie’s Historic Season
Trey Yesavage began the 2025 season in the Blue Jays’ minor league system. He struck out 160 batters in 98 innings before earning a call-up to the majors on Sept. 15. He made his MLB debut for the Blue Jays and from the onset, he started producing results for the team. He finished the regular season with a 1-0 record, posting a 3.21 ERA and 16 strikeouts over 14 innings pitched. Therefore, he earned the trust of the franchise to become a postseason ace.
Yesavage pitched like a true ace in the postseason. In the ALDS game against the Yankees, he struck out 11 batters. His most defining moment came in World Series Game 5 against the LA Dodgers, where he registered 12 strikeouts over seven innings with zero walks. He set the record for most strikeouts by a rookie in a World Series game.
Though his Blue Jays couldn’t win it all in the end, Yesavage’s performance made his fiancée even more proud. In a heartwarming post by Taylor, she wrote:
“Although the word “proud” could easily be used to describe these moments, it’s so much more than that. I am completely in awe of the person you have become and the successes that God knew you deserved. Every day I wake up proud to call you mine and proud to see the impact you have had on millions of others.”
Yesavage now looks forward to starting the 2026 season as a key starter in the Blue Jays’ rotation.
