Clemson linebacker Barrett Carter has frequently praised quarterback Cade Klubnik for his outstanding leadership abilities, both on and off the field. He made headlines once again, though, after he elaborated on his relationship with the Tigers quarterback during interviews at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

Barrett Carter Praises Clemson QB Cade Klubnik’s Leadership

“I could go on and on and on about Cade,” Carter said to the media. “The day that he stepped foot on campus his freshman year, he’s been that same guy since the day that I left, and I know he will continue to be that same guy.
“And he’s truly just one of the most special people I’ve ever been around,” Carter continued. “He’s led our Bible study groups. He’s led our football team. He leads in any room that he walks in.”

But what is Carter’s proudest accomplishment after leaving Swinney’s program?
“I would just say the way I impacted guys,” Carter said elsewhere in the interview.
Carter’s remarks on Klubnik’s leadership emphasize the quarterback’s role in establishing a unified and motivated team. His ability to set a good example and interact effectively has helped enhance the team’s atmosphere and performance substantially.
As Klubnik advances in his career, his leadership remains a pillar of Clemson’s strategy and success. His influence extends beyond the game, affecting the team’s culture and approach to challenges.
Klubnik and the Clemson Tigers open their season with a huge “Battle of the Death Valleys” against the LSU Tigers at home. A win would set Clemson on the right track for another CFP berth.
