Bralan Womack Getting More and More Familiar With Auburn

Womack, a five-star safety from Hartfield Academy in Mississippi, visited Auburn over the weekend of March 14, 2025. He announced his arrival with an X post, sharing a photo of himself on the field captioned, “I’ll be on the plains tomorrow!”

Womack came to Auburn to support his sister, Ma’Nia. She is a utility player on Auburn’s softball team. Yet, the visit doubled as a chance to connect with the football program.

This wasn’t his first rodeo at Auburn. He’s been a regular since getting an offer. “I’ve been here a lot since they offered me,” Womack said. “I’ve been here a good bit. I know my way around. Like, no GPS needed.”

During his previous visit, he caught up with safeties coach TJ Rushing a few months ago and instantly hit a bond. “He’s big about relationships, and you know, I’m big about that as well,” Womack said. “So, I mean, I’ve got to know him, his kids. We play around like we’re big brothers, little brothers. We just continue to create that relationship, build that relationship.”

Fellow Mississippian Deuce Knight, Auburn’s new quarterback commit, has also nudged Womack. “Me and Deuce are pretty close. We grew up together,” Womack said. “He played with the same 7-on-7 that I started out with. So, yeah, we’re pretty close in contact…He just tells me this is the place.”

Head coach Hugh Freeze also stays in regular contact, according to Womack. They chat frequently by phone. When Freeze faced an early prostate cancer diagnosis, Womack even reached out to check on him.

Ma’Nia, now at Auburn after transferring from Ole Miss, doubled as a tour guide for Womack. Showing him around, hoping to seal his decision. Yet, Womack refuses to write anything on stone.

Auburn competes with Florida, Texas A&M, and Ohio State for his commitment. Womack plans official visits, including another visit to Auburn on June 6-8. He’ll return for A-Day on April 12. Although he leans towards Auburn, reportedly, he may not make an official decision soon. For now, he will keep his focus on high school ball as a priority.
