Missouri’s Armand Membou Ready to Dominate the NFL Trenches

As the 2025 NFL Draft nears, top prospects are making their final impressions at pro days across the nation. With Round 1 set for April 24, Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou has solidified his status as one of the premier players available.

Membou, a dominant force at right tackle, started 30 career games for Missouri and earned Second-Team All-SEC honors in 2024. His pass protection was nearly flawless, as he did not allow a single sack across 411 pass-blocking snaps. Known for his blend of power and agility, he excelled in both the run game and pass protection.

His athleticism is evident, having ranked No. 39 on Bruce Feldman’s College Football Freaks List with impressive measurables: a 1.63-second 10-yard split, a top speed of 20 mph on GPS, a 650-pound squat, a 375-pound clean, and a 425-pound bench press.

NFL analyst Lance Zierlein compares Membou to Zach Tom, citing his quickness, elite body control, and ability to deliver strong initial contact. While his slightly smaller frame may cause some hesitation for teams seeking a prototypical tackle, his footwork, core strength, and refined pass sets make him a high-upside selection.

“Membou plays with composed quickness and elite body control. He delivers good pop on contact and has the range to spring runs with blocks in space. Footwork and core strength fuel stick-block sustain, but he can be outreached by edge-setters,” Zierlein notes.

“His pass sets are technically sound, and he processes twists and blitzes quickly. Membou plays with a varied pass-set strategy and crafty hands to stymie rush momentum, but teams will have to live with long-armed rushers collapsing the pocket on him at times.”

Despite this, his overall technique and intelligence make him an asset on the offensive line. The New York Jets are one of the most likely suitors, with ESPN’s Jordan Reid identifying Membou as an ideal fit for their offensive line. With Morgan Moses now in New England, the Jets need an immediate replacement at right tackle.

Draft analyst Marcus Mosher believes Membou’s draft stock skyrocketed after the NFL Combine, even surpassing LSU’s Will Campbell as the top offensive lineman in the class. If the hype is real, Membou will hear his name early when the draft begins.
