Will the Arkansas Razorbacks catch some Southwest Conference vibes in the SEC in 2024?
With the conference already having Texas A&M, the conference is soon adding Texas and Oklahoma. That now gives the SEC four former SWC teams. But will Arkansas see the other three next fall? Who else is on deck? Here’s a look at the 2024 slate for the “‘Hawgs.”

Yes, SWC nostalgia will return on Nov. 16, as Arkansas gets Texas as an SEC foe. It’ll be the 80th meeting between the schools. Arkansas currently has won the last two meetings, including the last one in 2021.
But before reuniting with an old rival, Arkansas kicks off its season in Little Rock with UAPB. Then, the Razorbacks head to Stillwater to take on an Oklahoma State team that played for the Big 12 title against the Longhorns.

With the SEC going to a four-team division format, Arkansas could end up losing one of its past divisional opponents. In this case, the Razorbacks won’t be taking on the Crimson Tide, as Alabama got left off the schedule. The Mississippi representatives, though, remain. Auburn also remains.
Meanwhile, Louisiana Tech and UAB are the non-conference opponents heading to Fayetteville. Both teams finished below .500 this past season.
While Texas is back on the regular season schedule for the first time 2021, fellow SEC newcomer Oklahoma won’t be on the Arkansas gauntlet.
For the first time since 1991, the SEC will not feature divisions in the conference. The top two teams will square off at the end of the year in the SEC Championship Game to culminate the season. With Oklahoma and Texas in the conference this season, the 2024 campaign truly means more.
