In a recent ranking of top QBs from Bleacher Report’s John Frascella, Texas star Arch Manning claimed the top spot, while Miami’s Carson Beck, once a projected top pick, slid to a surprising No. 7. Manning, the Texas Longhorns’ new QB1, tops Frascella’s rankings, securing his status as the face of the 2026 class in the eyes of Frascella. At 6’4”, 225 pounds, Manning possesses elite arm strength with surprising mobility, rushing for 108 yards and four touchdowns in limited 2024 action.
His 88.1 PFF overall grade, with a 67.8% completion rate and 9-to-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio, showcases his efficiency despite just two starts. Manning’s first full season as Texas’ starter in 2025, backed by a loaded roster, could solidify him as the No. 1 overall pick, though some speculate he may return for 2027, following his uncles’ extended college paths.
While Manning enjoys a top spot on Frascella’s list, Beck couldn’t even make it to the top five. Beck is placed in all the way down to No. 7. A year ago, Beck was a projected top-10 pick, praised for his 2023 season at Georgia (72% completion, 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns).
However, a disappointing 2024 campaign, which only included 12 interceptions and a 64.7% completion rate, coupled with a UCL injury and Georgia’s receiver struggles, left a hefty dent on his record.

Now at Miami, Beck aims to follow Cam Ward’s path to redemption. At 6’4”, 220 pounds, his arm strength and experience (24-3 as a starter) remain appealing, but his 20 turnover-worthy plays in 2024, per PFF, explain Frascella’s skepticism. A bounce-back 2025 could restore his first-round status.
