Top 10 Arch Manning Jokes Cracking Up The Internet As Texas QB’s Week 3 Disasterclass Sinks Heisman Hopes

The Texas Longhorns might have easily beaten the UTEP Miners, 27-10, but the afternoon wasn’t a good one for their quarterback, Arch Manning. For all the talk of Arch Manning being the leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy in the preseason, the signal-caller has looked out of shape so far this season, throwing at least one interception in every game of the season.

Fans reacted to another poor outing by the Texas man, sharing their best memes of the player’s performance.

Manning threw for 114 yards, with one touchdown pass and one interception. He also had an incredibly poor 44% completion percentage. It’s safe to say that this puts any possibilities of him going on a Heisman run to rest.

Steve Sarkisian Had Arch Manning’s Back, At Least Until Halftime…

Steve Sarkisian didn’t seem extremely worried with Manning’s performance, at least up until halftime of the Texas Longhorns’ victory over the UTEP Miners. When asked about how he felt about his quarterback’s play, Sarkisian replied:

“Well we just got get a little rhythm at quarterback,” Sarkisian said. “I told Arch before the season ‘You’ve never really been a quarterback until they boo ya.’ He got booed in the first half and now he can start playing.”

Sarkisian has always been commensurate about the player’s ability and the hype the press has created around him. It’s understandable that he will now be equally commensurate with his struggles, as he was also during the season opener against Ohio State.

Next week, the Longhorns have another easy opponent in the form of Sam Houston, but Week 5 brings the Florida Gators. From that point onwards, Manning won’t be able to have performances like today’s.
