Arch Manning Credits Bizarre Injury Update For Thrilling Performance Against Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia And More

Arch Manning, freshly coming out of a concussion protocol, put on an impressive display as he led the No. 20 Texas past ninth-ranked Vanderbilt in a nail-biting 34-31 contest on Saturday afternoon in Austin.

Manning postgame hilariously credited his concussion for his thrilling performance against the Commodores’ Diego Pavia & Co.

“Maybe the concussion helped,” Manning said with a grin.

The concussion Manning referenced to kept him sidelined for most of the week following Texas’s overtime thriller against Mississippi State.

Manning’s self-assessment after the game reflected on his mixed-bag season so far and he also explained how the team has grown together throughout this campaign.

“I think just playing games, experience, having some bad games. I think offense is starting to click a little bit. We’ve got to continue to press and finish games, but I’m proud of the way we played today,” Manning explained.

“It’s been a long month, I’ll tell you that. But I think we’ve all grown closer together and it’s helped us in the long run,” he further elaborated.

The quarterback also credited his offensive line repeatedly, acknowledging their contribution and also opened up about how the receivers made crucial plays when needed.

Manning also voiced the necessity of remaining focused given the difficult month of November is fast approaching. He pointed out that the team needs to keep working to improve as a unit, taking one play at a time whilst also remaining optimistic about improving and pushing through for his team.
