Arch Manning Didn’t Hesitate When Naming Best Quarterback in NFL History

During a recent interview, Arch Manning didn't hesitate to name who he views as the best quarterback in NFL history.

Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning comes from a lineage of football greatness. The legacy began with his grandfather, Archie, who played for Ole Miss from 1968-70 and led the NFL’s New Orleans Saints for 14 seasons.

Arch’s father, Cooper, was a wide receiver, but a neck injury cut his career short while in high school. Cooper’s brothers, Arch’s uncles Peyton and Eli, triumphed in the NFL, each securing two Super Bowl victories as quarterbacks.

But who does the predicted starter for the Longhorns say is the greatest QB in NFL history?

Arch Manning Picks Tom Brady as Greatest NFL QB

Surprisingly, when asked to name the greatest quarterback of all time in a recent interview with the Broadcast Boys, Arch didn’t mention any of his famous relatives. Instead, like so many others, the Texas QB picked seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.

“I think Tom Brady,” Manning said.

Arch’s answer caught many peoples’ attention and started a flurry of comments online.

“So what are the odds that Eli and Peyton have blocked him on everything now,” a fan joked.

“Tom Brady, but his uncle Eli beat him twice in the Super Bowl,” someone else said.

Why Did Arch Select Tom Brady?

Brady is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time. He played for the Michigan Wolverines and was selected 199th overall by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

Brady spent an incredible 20 seasons with the Patriots before playing three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to close out his career.

He shattered numerous records along the way, including most career passing yards, completions, touchdown passes, and games started. So, it’s safe to say Brady’s resume is impressive.

Brady holds the title for most career quarterback wins in the regular season and playoffs. As for Super Bowl MVP awards, he’s got five. He’s also the only player to snag the MVP title with two different franchises.
