“But His Attitude Sucks”: Fans Weigh In as Arch Manning’s Debut Struggles Spark Comparisons to Peyton and Eli Manning

Arch Manning’s debut as Texas’ starting quarterback in 2025 has started on a rough note, despite the football world having high expectations for him due to his last name. His performances have been underwhelming, leading many analysts, such as Paul Finebaum, to question his talent.

As Manning gets used to being the QB1, a stat has been going viral comparing Eli, Peyton, and Arch’s records in their first six college starts.

The comparison recorded Arch having 1,623 total yards, 19 total touchdowns and 5 interceptions, with an overall record of 5-1, whereas, Eli Manning, had 1,657 total yards, 14 touchdowns and just one interception, with an overall record of 5-1 as well.

During the first six games at Tennessee, Peyton Manning also recorded 1,828 total yards, 13 touchdown and 3 interceptions, and also had a 5-1 record. Reacting to these similarities, fans gave their honest reactions.

“Peyton was QB1 as a freshman. Eli was QB1 as a redshirt freshman. Arch didn’t become QB1 until his third year because he couldn’t beat out a 7th round draft pick for the job.” one fan noted.

“The only difference is Eli and Peyton didn’t have dozens of TV shows and Twitter accounts saying if every game isn’t 350, 5 td, and no picks, he sucks.” Anaother fan added.

“This is misleading. Arch has started one conference game, against last year’s 2-10 Mississippi State, albeit one of the non conference games was against Ohio State. OSU was also his only road start. Eli had 3 SEC opponents including beating Alabama. Peyton had 4.” Another fan commented.

“Peyton and Eli started as freshman and had outstanding college careers. This overhyped (Manning family driven) overrated kid couldn’t beat out Quinn Ewers.” Another fan added.

“They were both freshman, arch is a junior. Stop with the bulls*it, he sucks.” Another fan wrote.

“Yeah but his attitude sucks compared to Eli and Peyton – the c*cky needs to be toned down.” another fan added.

Arch Manning’s Mom’s ’Pretty Mad” Response to Viral Celebration in Week 4

Texas Longhorns secured a much-needed blowout win after the first few struggles in the 2025 college football season, which is exactly what happened in Week 4, when the Longhorns won against Sam Houston in a 55-0 matchup.

However, despite the massive win, Arch Manning’s mom was “pretty mad” with the Texas quarterback after the game over a unique celebration that Arch did on the field that went viral.

The viral moment took place when Antavious Fish missed a tackle at the goal line and landed in the end zone with Arch Manning who later taunted him as he looked down on his opponent to celebrate.

In the post game press conference, Arch told the reporters that his mom was pretty mad about the move and confessed it was a little immature.
