    Top Three Winners

    Indiana

The previously No. 7 Indiana Hoosiers rose up four spots to No. 3 following yesterday’s 30-20 win over previously No. 3 Oregon.

The Hoosiers are 6-0 under head coach Curt Cignetti this season, after he led them to an 11-2 record and College Football Playoff appearance last season.

    Texas

The Texas Longhorns entered this week with a 3-2 record and was unranked. Following a big upset win over No. 6 Oklahoma, the Longhorns are back in the rankings at No. 21.

The Longhorns and quarterback Arch Manning needed a win this week for some confidence and momentum, and maybe they can ascend in the rankings as the wins pile on.

    USC

Like Texas, USC entered Week 7 unranked. Following a 31-13 win over No. 15 Michigan yesterday, the Trojans are back in the rankings at No. 20 in the latest AP poll. At 5-1, USC has some momentum, but will face a tough test in facing No. 13 Notre Dame next week.

    Top Three Losers

    Penn State

Penn State‘s nightmare season continued with a third loss in a row, falling 22-21 to Northwestern. The Nittany Lions started the season as the No. 2 ranked team in the country, but have fallen out of the rankings during its lull. They also fired head coach James Franklin earlier today.

    Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines suffered its second loss of the season with a 31-15 loss to the USC Trojans yesterday. Not only did they loss, but they were taken out of the rankings this week after being ranked No. 15.

    Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Sooners were knocking on the door of becoming one of the highest-ranked teams in the country. They entered this past week as the No. 6 ranked team in the country. After suffering a 23-6 loss to Texas, they plunged eight spots and are sitting at No. 14.
