The Arizona State Sun Devils continue to impress after a tremendous 2024 season that saw them reach the College Football Playoff.
Now, they are winning on the recruiting trail.
Arizona State Lands 4-Star Cornerback
According to On3 insider Chad Williams, Arizona State was recently able to land four-star cornerback Jalen Williams.
Williams is the school’s first cornerback in the class of 2026. The Georgia native had offers from plenty of other schools, including Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, and Pittsburgh, but he chose to head to Tempe.
Locked On College Football analysts Spencer McLaughlin and Richie Bradshaw are fired up about how this team is progressing.
Currently holding on to the second-best recruit class in the Big 12 for 2026, the Sun Devils appear to be headed for a bright future with head coach Kenny Dillingham at the helm.
Arizona State Continuing the 2024 Momentum
The recruiting trail would not be so great if it weren’t for the tremendous success that the team had in 2024.
Last season, Dillingham and Co. bounced back from a 3-9 overall record the previous year to an 11-3 overall record. They won the Big 12 and came to within a fourth-down stop of reaching the semifinals of the College Football Playoff. The performances of former All-American running back Cam Skattebo, who is headed to the NFL, and quarterback Sam Leavitt drove this team to excellence.
Now, the team is cashing in on the recruiting trail.
High school players want to come to the desert because they see the type of culture Dillingham has created. The 34-year-old head coach has brought innovation, excitement, and winning back to the valley.

With Leavitt back under center for 2025, this team has unfinished business as it looks to make it farther down the road next season. Seeing as other teams in the Big 12, such as Colorado and Iowa State, have lost key offensive pieces, the door could be open for the Sun Devils to contend once again.
