The 2025 NFL Draft has come and gone. Many college players saw their dreams of reaching the next level come true. While some in the first couple of rounds have higher expectations than those in the later rounds, everyone who was selected knows exactly what’s expected of them now.

Still, sometimes talents on Day 3 can just be as valuable as the talents selected on Day 1 or Day 2. Just because Day 3 sees a lot of the bottom of the barrel players in the class, doesn’t mean there aren’t a few diamonds in the rough. NFL Draft Analyst Highlights Ty Robinson, D.J. Giddens, Jimmy Horn Jr. As Day 3 Steals

Jordan Reid, an NFL Draft expert and college football analyst, named his Day 3 top-three steals, where he spotlights Ty Robinson, D.J. Giddens, and Jimmy Horn Jr. as future impact players who were selected on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Nebraska’s own Robinson with their No. 111 pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Robinson joins the Eagles after having spent all six of his college seasons with the Cornhuskers as a pivotal part of their defensive line. Robinson is widely known as one of the toughest players that Nebraska has ever seen.

His breakout season came in his final year when he was named to the Associated Press Second-Team All-Big Ten Team and voted Third Team All-Big Ten by both the Big Ten coaches and media. Those honors followed a season in which he recorded career highs in total tackles (37), TFLs (12.0), and sacks (7.0).

He also added 42 pressures, 25 quarterback hurries, four PBUs, one blocked field goal, and forced one safety while starting all 13 games and playing 75 percent of the team’s defensive snaps (598 out of 796).

The Indianapolis Colts selected Kansas State’s running back, Giddens, with their No. 151 pick in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Giddens joins the Colts following his impressive tenure with Kansas State, where he will likely back up star running back Jonathan Taylor.

Giddens finished the 2024 season with 205 carries for 1,343 yards (6.6 avg.) and seven touchdowns. He also added 21 catches for 258 yards and a touchdown as a receiver. Giddens earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors as a senior.

Giddens will immediately compete with free agent acquisition Khalil Herbert for the RB2 role. Both bring big-play ability to the Colts’ backfield behind Taylor and can spell the former All-Pro when he needs a breather.

The Carolina Panthers selected Horn Jr. to bolster their wide receiver room. Horn Jr. joins the Panthers following his impressive two-year stint with the University of Colorado, to whom he transferred following his first two years with the University of South Florida.

In his two seasons at South Florida, one of which resulted in a first-team All-AAC pick, he amassed 67 receptions for 959 yards and four touchdowns. However, he excelled even more after he transferred to Colorado.

He then transferred over to Colorado to play under head coach Deion Sanders beginning in 2023. Horn totaled 1,008 receiving yards and seven scores off 95 grabs for the Buffaloes.

These are just three names of close to 100 people who were drafted on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft who could have a standout season. These three teams looked to have found diamonds in the rough in the late rounds of the NFL Draft.
