Analsyt Predicts Deion Sanders’ Colorado Exit While Bluntly Questioning His Coaching Capabilities

Deion Sanders has been struggling to win games in 2025 after an impressive 9-4 season last year.

The Buffaloes sit at an overall record of 3-5 and most recently faced a 53-7 loss against the Utah Utes, one of the worst beatings Sanders has had in his coaching career.

The Ringer’s Joel Anderson joined “The Right Time” with Bomani Jones on Wednesday and shared his opinion on why it doesn’t make sense for Sanders to continue being at Colorado, with his sons not being there anymore.

He also pointed out Sanders’ health concerns and how he’s not doing well, hence, making a stronger case for the Colorado coach to potentially leave the program soon.

“He already told you he don’t wanna recruit,” Anderson said. “That shows that you actually don’t kinda enjoy a lot of parts of this thing. What are they building towards?

“He doesn’t have no connections to Colorado. It’s hard to get people to go over there….Because we all know he ain’t got no connection to Colorado, there’s no reason for him to be there anymore.”

    Jones added:

“9-3 at TCU requires you to be a better coach than I think that he has demonstrated himself to be. Has he done anything to make you think that he can coach?.. Managing clock stuff, Deion has not demonstrated himself to be great at. I don’t think that his teams have a clear personality or a clear identity that speaks to a head coach.”

Deion Sanders Reacts to Potentially Coaching in the NFL

There was a lot of chatter before the 2025 NFL Draft took place around Deion Sanders potentially leaving the Buffaloes to go the league and stay close to his sons, potentially even coaching the same team that picks Shedeur Sanders.

While that didn’t happen, the curiosity around his interest in the NFL still fascinates fans. Reacting to the questions during an appearance on the ‘Good Morning America’ show on Oct. 7, he made it clear and said that he doesn’t want to coach in the NFL.

“No. No. Not at this point. No. No. I don’t want to coach in the NFL,” Sanders said (21:24). “I would because the grown men… like it’s already enough dealing with college kids who are making money who may not love the game but they love the check. You think I’m going to want to deal with a grown man who’s doing that, and I can’t get rid of them?”

During the draft, Coach Prime also made it clear that while he loved coaching his kids, he doesn’t want to follow them to the league as he is a father not a baby daddy.
