“One Of The Sexiest Brands In America”: Colorado HC Deion Sanders Makes Feelings Clear On Jerry Jones’ $10,100,000,000 Franchise

Deion Sanders’ trade to Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys in the mid-’90s was one of the signature trades of the decade. Sanders was the hottest player in the league at the time, joining the hottest franchise in sports. It panned out well for both sides, with Sanders being an integral part of the Cowboys’ victory in Super Bowl XXX.

Speaking in a new documentary titled “America’s Team: The Gambler and his Cowboys” about the 1990s Dallas Cowboys, Deion Sanders opened up about how the brand that Jerry Jones had built around America’s Team drew him in.

“Jerry Jones knew what he wanted, and he knew how to go get it. Jerry has taken something that was like four tyres flat, man. Now he has one of the sexiest brands in America. He’s dressed that thing up and made it into what he saw. I understand that, because I was Prime, and I love this man. So that’s why it was a blessing when I got here to Dallas,” Sanders said.

He also said that his main motivation was to earn enough money, so her mother wouldn’t have to work another day in her life.

Jerry Jones and the Cowboys gave Deion Sanders that chance, and he couldn’t turn down the opportunity.

Jerry Jones has no plans to retire and leave the Dallas Cowboys in the hands of a GM

In another part of the documentary, Jerry Jones spoke about his future career plans. He’s not planning on going anywhere. Jones wants to remain as the Dallas Cowboys general manager for the foreseeable future. He said:

“I’m often asked the question, ‘Why don’t I hire a general manager?’ I’ve had people that said, ‘Jerry, you subject yourself to so much criticism. You need a buffer.’

Jerry Jones is deeply committed to his work with the Cowboys. While some fans might argue that since winning its last Super Bowl in 1995, the team hasn’t achieved much success, this might not be how Jones measures success. The Dallas Cowboys are by far the most valuable sports brand in the world, being worth $10.1 billion, according to Forbes.
