Alabama’s defeat to Florida State in Week 1 shocked the world of football. Kalen DeBoer’s team was ranked No. 8 in the nation coming into the start of the season, and Mike Norvell’s team was unranked after a disastrous 2-10 season last year. Fans were almost unanimous in that the Crimson Tide should easily win the encounter.
The contrary happened, with the Seminoles dominating the encounter from start to finish, with the final score being 31-17.
It seems like enough for some Alabama fans who aren’t at all sold on Kalen DeBoer as the program’s head coach. One epic example of dissatisfaction was seen on Wednesday’s episode of “The Paul Finebaum Show,” with one fan calling and giving the following epic rant against ‘Bama’s head coach:
“This is a football nightmare, brother… The Gus bus wheels do go round and round. Round and round over my candy ass. That’s where they went round and round… I’m not saying that I hate your a*s, but if you was on life support, I’d pull the plug and charge my phone. You’re about as popular as a bonus track on a Yoko Ono album right now, dude. Nobody likes you.
“You’re an outsider, you couldn’t inspire a chicken to cross the road if there was a hen on the other side looking like Megan Fox in some daisy dukes. Get the hell out of town. Clear the way. Elvis is leaving the damn building.”

The Seminoles are now ranked No. 14 in the nation, and the Crimson Tide dropped to No. 21.

Kalen DeBoer’s Message to Alabama Football Following Week 1 Defeat to Florida State
Reports by On3 on Wednesday revealed that Alabama boosters are starting to become worried about the future of the program. Addressing rumors and trying to get a hold on the situation, Kalen DeBoer said the following on Wednesday during his weekly SEC teleconference:
“My message is that our team is, I think we got a really good football team,” DeBoer said. “I think we got a good football team that can do some big things still this year. We gotta prove it. We gotta go do it. To this point, it’s been me being able to focus on football, and I appreciate that.”
While Alabama’s Week 2 game against LA-Monroe should be an easy win for the program, it’s the Week 3 and especially Week 4 encounters that will tell us more about who the Crimson Tide really is this year.
In Week 3, the Wisconsin Badgers visit Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, and in Week 4, the Crimson Tide travels to Athens to face No. 4 Georgia.
