‘That’s Why He Sucked’ — Alabama Fans Fire Back After Kendrick Law Praises Kentucky’s Conditioning

Kendrick Law is prepping for his fresh start. Law is a former four-star recruit from Louisiana who definitely showed a lot of promise in Tuscaloosa but it has not been the best of seasons for him.

He has been down with injuries and inconsistency during his time at Alabama. In 2024, he managed 10 receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown across five starts but missed several games due to lower-body issues.

Kendrick Law’s New Conditioning Is Simply a Random Statement to The Fandom!

In December, Law entered the transfer portal in hopes of having a better final year. He soon joined the Kentucky Wildcats and has been training with them since. Now, in Lexington, Law has already started to notice major differences in training philosophies.

However, his latest comments about Kentucky’s conditioning program have set Alabama fans off.

Law has gone ahead to say that the new approach has been a good change for him. The senior receiver recently praised the Wildcats and went on to say, “We do a lot more speed training, not a lot of heavy lifting where I won’t pull hamstrings, won’t have a lot of ankle problems, won’t have a lot of knee problems.” Now, Law might think this is a step ahead.

But Alabama fans beg to differ.

One fan bluntly summed up the sentiment and wrote, “Oh, so that’s why he sucked.” It is undoubtedly brutal, but Law’s stats fail to say otherwise. In 2024, despite playing in 10 games, he only recorded 10 catches and had limited impact as a returner. To Tide fans, his struggles weren’t about conditioning. It was about the lack of production.

Another fan, sharing a similar sentiment, went on to add, “Translation: He doesn’t like lifting weights.” The insinuation is that Kendrick Law is opting for an easier path rather than grinding in the weight room. Alabama’s strength and conditioning program is famously intense and designed to build physically dominant athletes. So what about Kentucky?

Well, their programs are known to focus on agility and injury prevention. Now, that might sound soft to a fanbase that prides itself on toughness. The critique does not stop there. Another netizen went on to write, “Okay, Mr. Zero Production 😂.”

Across three seasons in Alabama, Law only totaled 33 receptions for 343 yards and one touchdown. His biggest contributions often came on special teams. In those, he had some good kick returns. But that’s about it! Another fa,n amidst the firing, decided to bring up a chapter from Kendrick Law’s past!

The fan went on to write, “Hopefully they teach how to avoid personal foul/unsportsmanlike penalties in the most crucial part of the game. Or how to not fumble when returning kickoffs.” Ouch! That one is painful as there is no forgetting the Tennessee game.

During the final moments of the match, Law went on to make a personal foul when he shoved Boo Carter after a play. This cost Alabama a 15-yard personal foul penalty in the game. The decision turned a manageable fourth-and-7 into a much tougher fourth-and-22, ultimately leading to a turnover on downs. Ultimately, Alabama lost.

So now, as Kendrick Law moves to Kentucky for his final year, Alabama fans aren’t buying the idea that a change in training will suddenly transform him into a star. In their eyes, production speaks louder than words! Lawyers have a lot to prove before they change their minds.
