Atlanta Falcons cornerback AJ Terrell has a younger brother playing for the Clemson Tigers. Avieon Terrell is in his third season with the Tigers of Dabo Swinney. He has played in every game of the program’s last two seasons, earning Second Team All-ACC honors in 2024.
Terrell was a three-star recruit from the 2023 class, who was ranked as the 54th best cornerback in the nation and the 55th best overall prospect in the state of Georgia that year by 247Sports. Like his brother A.J., Avieon played high school ball at Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia.
Coming out of a timeout, #LSU‘s offense is STILL dysfunctional, still confused & leave points on the field after a 2nd fumble by a pass catcher, this time inside the red zone by Chris Hilton Jr (who barely received any looks or plays throughout the 1st half, zero field… pic.twitter.com/Ntzo59x1Vg

Avieon chose Clemson over the likes of Georgia, Michigan State, Tennessee, Kentucky, USC, Mississippi State, Miami, Florida State, UCF, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Texas, and Auburn.

Todd McShay breaks down Avieon Terrell’s 2026 NFL Draft prospects
Speaking earlier this month, ESPN’s Todd McShay broke down Avieon Terrell’s chances in next year’s NFL Draft. It seems that he feels that Terrell is a player with a lot of potential, but right now, he’s somewhat distant from those truly elite players at his position:
“I think Terrell is a day two player right now. I had him late in the first round in my mock, but probably wouldn’t put him there right now as I’ve gone through the whole class. But I’d have him in the second round.”
He also explained that while there is still some difference between him and truly elite first-rounders, there seems there´s room for him to improve his game this campaign. This last season in college football could be key for Terrell to show his true worth to NFL teams.
On the other hand, it might not be his last season, as he could elect to stay one more year with the Tigers to further his development. It worked for Cam Ward.
