Arch Manning is starting his first-ever college football matchup in Columbus against the defending champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Arch Manning hype has been one of the most talked-about storylines this season, with analysts like Paul Finebaum declaring him among the best quarterbacks we will get to see in a decade.
The Texas quarterback is expected to win the Heisman Trophy, lead the Longhorns to a national championship and be the No.1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Pushing back on this narrative, Aaron Rodgers’ brother Jordon made his thoughts clear on his bet around the Heisman Trophy winner candidate and it’s LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier not Arch Manning.
Weighing in on the Manning hype, Jordon said:
“So right now it’s a lot of hype. I’m looking forward to see what happens when the whistle blows in that first quarter, because it’s a revenge game for Ohio State and Jeremiah Smith, the best player in the entire country, put up a goose egg almost the last time these two teams met. So a lot of hype, a lot of anticipation for Arch Manning, a lot to see this young quarterback, Julian saying as well with one of the best players in all of college football in Jeremiah Smith.”

Jordon Rodgers Predicts Arch Manning’s Performance Against Ohio State
Ahead of the opening showdown between Texas and Ohio State, during an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, Jordon Rodgers said while there are some good signs about Manning, the hype or the tape to him doesn’t say a lot about whether or not he is a first-round pick or a top 10 pick or even a Heisman contender.
Talking about who it’s going to be in the Ohio State matchup, Rodgers predicted that Arch Manning would struggle because he hasn’t played against big teams.
“The last time we saw him against a really good defense was Georgia and he looked out of place, right? He looked really good against UTSA, Louisiana Monroe, and Mississippi State, the worst defense in the SEC. I think there’s still a lot for him to grow and a lot we need to see like Lewis said,” he added.
There is over a $1,000,000 bet on Arch Manning winning the Ohio State showdown.
