Carson Beck’s Miami Hurricanes are set to play the Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff matchup. The Cotton Bowl Classic has garnered mixed predictions from fans and analysts in the lead-up to the game.
Some believe that the team with the better record, the Buckeyes, will have an edge, while others are relying on the heroics of Carson Beck and placing their bets on the Hurricanes.
Aaron Rodgers’ brother, Jordan Rodgers, recently joined the discussion during his appearance on ESPN’s Get Up. When asked to reveal his pick for the Bowl game, Rodgers chose Carson Beck’s Miami without hesitation.
The reason behind his pick is the recent form of Beck. Rodgers believes that Beck will be the one to secure the win for the Miami Hurricanes.
“I think because this version of Carson Beck that we’ve seen in the last five games has shown the experience of protecting the football, making smart decisions, and that has to be the Carson Beck that we see against Ohio State,” Rodgers said.

In addition to Beck, Rodgers believes that the Hurricanes have a very strong and capable defense, and they will play a crucial role for Miami. In his opinion, Miami’s defense will be able to get hold of Julian Sayin, the quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Rodgers also reflected on the Ohio State matchup against Indiana earlier this month. That was the biggest game at that point for the Buckeyes, and Sayin was ineffective during the game, which led to the Buckeyes loss.
Today’s game is even bigger in scale, and if the Hoosiers loss was any indication, Rodgers believes that the pressure will once again get to Sayin.

Nick Saban’s Advice for Carson Beck’s Miami
During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show yesterday, the legendary former head coach, Nick Saban, weighed in on the Miami-Ohio State game. Saban understands what it’s like to be in a high-pressure game better than most people.
In his opinion, the Miami Hurricanes have a real chance to walk away with a win. However, they must get their offense in order to do that. His advice was that Miami should look to beat the Buckeyes with their offense.
“I think they’re gonna have to score more points to be able to beat Ohio State because it’s a tough matchup against the Buckeyes now with the receivers they’ve got, Julian Sayin. They’ve struggled to run the ball a little bit against Indiana, but they still can make a lot of explosive plays,” Saban said.
“Miami’s going to have to do more on offense to beat Ohio State.” 👀
