Florida’s Kylee Kitts entered the transfer portal earlier in the year after one season without appearing in any game for the Gators. She had joined the Gators before last season as part of the 2024 recruiting class. However, she had to redshirt her freshman season, and as a result, did not play any games.
Kylee is the younger sister of Chloe Kitts, who plays for the South Carolina Gamecocks and was the SEC tournament MVP in 2025. Kitts still has four years of college eligibility left.

Kylee Kitts Visits NC State
On April 8, Kylee Kitts entered the transfer portal with a “Do Not Contact” tag, meaning schools are supposed to wait for her and her agents to initiate contact. It has now been reported that Kitts visited NC State, and the fact that Kitts went to Raleigh means she’s interested in joining the Wolfpack.
Kitts was originally ranked as the No. 25 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class but reclassified to join Florida’s 2024 class. Kitts’ interest in NC State could also be motivated by the fact that she wants to be closer to her sister, who plays for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Although Kitts has made an official visit to NC State, she hasn’t committed to the Wolfpack yet, and there are reports that she might actually be interested in teaming up with her older sister in South Carolina. Chloe Kitts has one year of college eligibility left, and the Kitts might be looking at playing together for Chloe’s last year.
Kylee didn’t play any game in her freshman year but she had a very good college career. She led the Faith Christian Academy to their first Florida High School Athletic Association state championship in her sophomore year. She dropped 10 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in the title game.
Florida head coach, Kelly Finley, said they recruited Kylee because of her leadership skills, basketball IQ, athleticism, and versatility, which she believes is a culture fit for the Gators. Within months of joining the team, Kitts showcased improvement in her strength, speed, and physicality.

“She’s getting stronger, more physical,” Finley said. “The speed of the game, she can stretch the floor, play inside and outside.”
