Last month, Gianna Kneepkens entered the transfer portal, ending her stay with the University of Utah after four years. She later narrowed down her options to four schools, as she scheduled visits with South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and UCLA.
Last season, She averaged 19 points, a team-leading figure, to go along with five rebounds and three assists per game. She also made the All-Big 12 First Team and played a big role in sending the Utes to their fourth straight national tournament.

According to On3, Kneepkens has already taken visits to Texas and Oklahoma and is scheduled to visit South Carolina and UCLA this coming week.

Kneepkens averaged more than 10 points per game in all four of her seasons with Utah. As a senior, she recorded 19.3 points, five rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game on a super efficient 50.4/44.8/89.0 shooting split.
Kneepkens was one of the most decorated players in Minnesota girls’ high school basketball history. She finished her career with 3,704 points, led Duluth Marshall to their first state tournament appearance in 20 years, and even set the all-time record with 67 points in a state tournament game in 2021.
She joined Utah in 2021, and she averaged 11.8 points per game, shooting 38.4% from the behind the arc and 87.1% from the free-throw line. She was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, First Team All-Pac-12, and given Pac-12 All-Freshman honors.
In her sophomore year, she started every game and recorded an average of 15.3 points per game. She helped lead her team to a second consecutive NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament appearance. The Utes advanced to the Sweet 16, where Kneepkens scored a team-high 20 points in a loss to eventual NCAA champions LSU.

She was Naismith Trophy Women’s Player of the Year Watch List in 2024. Last season, She was named First-team All-Big 12 and the 2025 Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year.
