St. Thomas guard Amber Scalia announced her decision to enter the transfer portal to On3 Sports on Friday, April 18. The 5’9” junior guard has played for the St. Thomas–Minnesota Tommies since her freshman season. She averaged 4.5 points and 1.5 assists per game as a freshman and ranked second on the team in three-point field goals with 26.
As a sophomore, she played in 31 games and averaged 16.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. She averaged 14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and three assists per game as a junior. She also scored her 1,000th career point this season. Despite her strong performance with the Tommies and multiple awards, she has decided to join another team for her senior year.
