Flynn Clayman wasted no time making his mark at High Point University, immediately boosting the Panthers’ roster with key transfer additions during his first week as head coach. Officially appointed in April 2025, Clayman steps into the role with a strong coaching résumé.
Before his promotion, he served as the associate head coach for High Point.
His previous experience also includes a successful stretch at Southern Utah University, where he earned a promotion to associate head coach and later served as interim head coach, further establishing his reputation for leadership and player development.

Flynn Clayman Hits Ground Running With Key Transfer Additions
The newly appointed High Point head coach is off to a strong start, landing a pair of transfer commitments in his first week. A source told The Field of 68 that UConn transfer Youssouf Singare, a 6-foot-10 center, has committed to the Panthers. Earlier in the week, Clayman also secured Liberty forward Owen Aquino.
Singare, who was part of UConn’s celebrated 2023 recruiting class known as the “Fab Five,” joins High Point after limited playing time in Storrs. During the 2023–24 national championship season, he appeared in 23 games but logged only 47 minutes.

At UConn, Singare typically saw the court when frontcourt regulars Samson Johnson or Tarris Reed Jr. were in foul trouble or late in lopsided games. He previously starred at Our Savior Lutheran School and drew offers from programs including St. John’s, Providence, Seton Hall, and BYU.
