Rodriguez has made an instant impact for UCF, and she’s one of five international players on UCF’s women’s basketball roster, along with sophomore forward Achol Akot from Canada, freshman forward Adeang Ring from Australia, freshman center Arek Angui from South Sudan, and fifth-year senior guard Lucie Castagne from France.

The 6-foot guard moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic and earned the Miami Herald Miami-Dade Player of the Year award after she led Horeb Christian to its first appearance in an FHSAA championship game as a high school junior. Rodriguez scored in double figures in four of her first six collegiate games, including an 18-point, seven-rebound outing against back-to-back NCAA tournament qualifier Marquette.
