The University of Texas at Arlington just made a monumental move for its women’s basketball program. In a major offseason announcement, the Lady Mavs have added a trio of highly regarded sisters, Mila, Amiyah, and Kira Reynolds, to their 2025 roster.
Formerly at Purdue, Mila and Amiyah will reunite with head coach Shereka Wright, also a Boilermaker alum, while Kira, one of the nation’s top high school recruits, begins her college career in Arlington. This family signing could very well reshape the future of UTA women’s basketball.

Mila Reynolds – 6’3” Post
Mila Reynolds brings length, shooting range, and tournament experience to the Lady Mavs frontcourt. After spending two seasons at Purdue, Mila is ready for a new chapter in Texas. Though she missed this past season due to injury, she made a significant impact during the Boilermakers’ 2023 WNIT run, averaging 7.0 points per game and hitting a Purdue WNIT record four three-pointers against Butler.
As a high school senior, she averaged 21.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Fully healthy and with two years of college experience under her belt, Mila is expected to be a vital asset in UTA’s rotation.
Amiyah Reynolds – 6’0” Guard
Joining her sister is Amiyah Reynolds, a strong and creative 6-foot guard with court vision and leadership. She played in 23 games for Purdue in the 2023-24 season, starting in eight and averaging 1.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
Although injuries slowed her early college career, Amiyah had an outstanding high school resume. Ranked No. 43 nationally, she racked up over 1,000 points and 500 assists before graduation. Now healthy and motivated, Amiyah could play a key role in shaping UTA’s backcourt in 2025.
Kira Reynolds – 6’4” Forward
The youngest of the trio, Kira Reynolds, arrives at UTA as one of the most heralded recruits in Indiana history. A four-star recruit, Kira made headlines by recording Indiana’s first-ever quintuple-double, 14 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals, and 10 blocks in a single game.
Kira holds the all-time state record for blocks and averaged 14.8 points, 13.4 rebounds, 6.5 blocks, 6.0 assists, and 3.5 steals in her senior season while shooting over 50% from the field. Kira’s dynamic presence on both ends of the court makes her one of the most exciting additions in UTA program history.

With the Reynolds sisters committing to UT Arlington, Coach Shereka Wright is building something special in the Western Athletic Conference. As a former Purdue standout herself, Wright’s reunion with Mila and Amiyah, plus the fresh addition of the versatile Kira, gives the Lady Mavs a powerhouse trio that could fuel postseason runs for years to come.
