The TCU Women’s Basketball program is experiencing a whirlwind of activity in the transfer portal following their historic Elite Eight run. Head coach Mark Campbell has been aggressively reshaping the roster, securing commitments from several high-profile transfers while managing some departures as the team prepares for the 2025-26 season.
With the departure of key contributors like Hailey Van Lith, Sedona Prince, and Madison Conner, Campbell has turned to the transfer portal to reload rather than rebuild. His strategic acquisitions, led by three-time All-American Olivia Miles from Notre Dame, signal TCU’s intention to remain a national powerhouse despite the roster turnover.

Players Leaving TCU
Knisha Godfrey
The redshirt senior point guard entered the transfer portal on April 2, 2025, after limited playing time with the Horned Frogs last season. Godfrey, who transferred to TCU from Mississippi State, appeared in just 15 games during the 2024-25 campaign while utilizing a redshirt season due to injury.
Her decision to seek opportunities elsewhere likely stems from the increased competition for playing time with incoming high-profile guards. As a redshirt senior with remaining eligibility, she will look to find a program where she can make a greater impact in her final collegiate season.
Daija Turner
Turner, a redshirt junior forward, has also indicated her intention to enter the transfer portal. Throughout her collegiate career, she appeared in 34 games while earning three starts after redshirting her initial season with the program.
The forward was previously mentioned in conversations about TCU’s player shortage during the 2023-24 season due to injuries. The forward’s exit continues the roster turnover as Coach Campbell brings in new talent to fill certain roles within the program.
Players Joining TCU
Olivia Miles
Miles, a highly decorated guard from Notre Dame, has officially committed to TCU for the 2025-26 season. Her credentials are exceptional, including three-time All-American honors and finalist status for the prestigious Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year award.
The 5-foot-10 junior is the only returning player in the entire nation with 1,400 career points, 600 assists, and 600 rebounds. She was projected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 draft. By coming back for her final year at TCU rather than entering the draft, it shows how important this addition is.
Taliyah Parker
TCU has received a commitment from Parker, a talented 6-foot-1 combo guard transferring from Texas A&M. Parker averaged 5.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals playing for the Aggies in her freshman season before injuries sidelined her for the last month of the season.
The former South Grand Prairie High School pass out was ranked as a top recruit in Texas. Her commitment announced alongside Miles on April 8, 2025, brings local ties and significant potential to the TCU backcourt.
Clara Silva
Adding substantial size to their frontcourt, TCU has received a commitment from Silva, a 6-foot-7 center transferring from Kentucky. In her freshman season with the Wildcats, she played all 31 games, averaged 4.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks while playing just over 12 minutes a game.
No doubt, Silva was a top international prospect in the 2024 class and has been a national team player for Portugal since 2021. Her addition helps fill the void left by the graduation of All-American center Sedona Prince.
Marta Suarez
TCU’s transfer portal success extends beyond the initial list of players including Suarez, a 6-foot-3 senior forward from Cal. During her time with the Golden Bears she averaged an impressive 12.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
The experienced forward, who previously played at Tennessee, also brings international experience representing Spain. Her scoring ability and versatility make her a valuable addition to Coach Campbell’s revamped roster.
Kennedy Basham
Adding further size to their frontcourt, TCU has landed Basham, a 6-foot-7 junior center from Arizona State. In her season with the Sun Devils she averaged 5.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game after previously playing at Oregon.
The additional shot blocking and rebounding from Basham fills in major frontcourt needs while providing the defensive presence that complements the offensive arsenal of the team’s weapons.
Future Impact and Outlook
Beyond the transfer portal, TCU has assembled an impressive freshman class with international flavor. Clara Bielefeld, a 6-foot-4 German guard who earned MVP honors at the FIBA U16 Women’s EuroBasket Division B brings versatility and playmaking ability. Emily Hunter, a 6-foot-7 center from Tennessee who averaged 15.4 points and 10.9 rebounds in high school and Sarah Portlock, a 6-foot-8 Australian center with FIBA tournament experience add even more size to an already imposing frontcourt.
Coach Campbell’s strategy of blending elite transfers with promising international freshmen has created one of the tallest rosters in women’s college basketball. The immediate impact players like Miles and Suarez provide scoring and experience, while the development of freshmen ensures long-term program stability. This balanced approach addresses both short-term competitiveness and sustainable success.
While team chemistry will take time to develop with so many new faces, the 2025-26 Horned Frogs have assembled the talent, size and versatility needed to build upon their Elite Eight appearance.
