The Arkansas Razorbacks received two pieces of excellent news during Tuesday’s transfer window, adding Nick Pringle and Malike Ewing, two big men from South Carolina and Florida State, respectively, to their roster.
Two players of this size and skills will be key to head coach John Calipari’s efforts to turn around the Hogs’ current situation. Through the first 18 games of the season, Arkansas sits in ninth place in the Southwestern Conference (SEC) with a 10-8 record.

Nick Pringle is a 6-foot-10, 220-pound forward. He is in his fourth season of college basketball, and the Arkansas Razorbacks are the fourth team he has played for.
As a curious detail, Pringle has always played within the SEC. He made his debut with the Wofford Terriers and spent the next two seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide. He started the 2024-2025 season with South Carolina and looks to finish it with the Hogs.
During his collegiate career, he has played in 117 games and averages 5.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists. He was an absolute reserve player for Wofford and Alabama in his first two seasons, while starting just 16 of the 34 games he played in for the Crimson Tide in 2023-2024.
His busiest season by far has been the current one, in which he has started every game (32) for South Carolina up to the time of his transfer. It has been also his best season, averaging 9.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
In the case of Malike Ewing, he also plays as forward, stands at 6-foot-11 and weighs 230 pounds. He is in his second season in college basketball and, like his colleague Pringle, is a globetrotter as Arkansas will be his third team.
Ewing debuted with the Rebels at Ole Miss in 2023-2024 and started this season at Florida State. He was an unquestioned starter for the Seminoles, starting 30 games before transferring and averaging 26.2 minutes per game.

For his career, he is averaging 10.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
