The 6’8” forward from Baltimore, Maryland, saw his numbers significantly increase in 2024-25 after a 2023-24 freshman season in which he scored only 5.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game on 36.5% shooting. He played in 27 games, starting only three.
Walsh had a career-high performance early in the season at Miami in November, scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds in an 88-64 loss. Walsh joins a Seahawks team fresh off a Coastal Athletic Association tournament title run. UNC Wilmington finished the season 27-8, 14-4, and won six in a row on their way to the NCAA tournament, avoiding the No. 1 Towson Tigers after an upset loss in the conference semifinal. The Seahawks were awarded a No. 14 seed, losing to No. 3 Texas Tech 82-72.
