Details have continued to emerge about Lacy’s death. He declared for the NFL Draft in December, days after being involved in another crash where he indirectly caused the death of a 78-year-old man due to his reckless driving.

The police later charged him with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless operation of a vehicle, and then he was released on $151,000 bail.

The LSU X account posted a tribute to Lacy, saying the “LSU Football family mourns the loss of Kyren Lacy.”

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray also posted a fitting tribute to Lacy and the man killed in the car crash in December, Herman Hall, saying, “One of the saddest stories all around, man, RIP to Kyren Lacy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the LSU community. I also want to extend my condolences to Herman Hall and his family. Everyone is lost in this scenario. Hug your loved ones tight, tomorrow isn’t promised.”

Lacy played in 12 games for the Tigers last season and was second on the team in catches with 58 and yards receiving with 866. He finished his collegiate career with 162 receptions for 2,360 yards and 26 touchdowns.
