The Ohio State Buckeyes won the 2025 National Championship off the strength of a loaded roster filled with NFL talent; as many as 15 players may hear their name called in the draft.
Below, we’ll break down each draft projection and analyze what exactly puts them in that position following excellent college careers.

T Josh Simons 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- NFL.com: Round 1, Pick 13
- CBS Sports: Round 1, Pick 32
Simons’ projection has a wide range, as a few teams are slated to pick in the teens with spots to fill at the tackle position. But if they decide to look elsewhere, Simons may fall to the edge of the first round. If he were to do so, he shouldn’t fall past the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles at No. 31 and 32, respectively, as they both have to fill voids at Simons’ position.
WR Emeka Egbuka 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- CBS Sports: Round 1, Pick 19
- USA Today: Round 1, Pick 30
Seen as a lock to be a first-round pick before the college season, Egbuka remains a bit of a mystery regarding how teams rank him on their boards. He didn’t have as good of a season as expected, but the talent and refined skills are still there, giving him the potential to go in the late teens and the possibility of falling out of the first round altogether.
EDGE Jack Sawyer 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- USA Today: Round 1, Pick 28
- Fox Sports: Round 1, Pick 32
Like many others in this talented EDGE class, “Captain” Jack Sawyer’s draft range will vary based on how teams rate each player on their draft boards. He could go as early as his 20s, and it is a real possibility he will have to wait to hear his name called early on Day 2.
DL Tyleik Williams 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- USA Today: Round 1, Pick 24
- Pro Football Network: Round 1, Pick 30
An imposing player in the middle, Williams could be a difference-maker from day one for an NFL organization. That’s reflected in his draft projection, as he could be a first-round pick but also stand to be selected early in the second round.
EDGE J.T. Tuimoloau
- Fox Sports: Round 1, Pick 29
- The Athletic: Round 1, Pick 31
Despite these projections, there’s been chatter amongst league circles that Tuimoloau’s stock is dropping, somewhat inexplicably. Despite that, one team just needs to stop the plummet and nab the Buckeyes EDGE. He could be taken at the end of the first round, with his floor in his late 40s.
G Donovan Jackson 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- Sports Illustrated: Round 1, Pick 29
- NBC Sports: Round 1, Pick 28
Jackson is a major candidate for contending teams that fall late in the first round, as the Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs have voids to fill on the interior offensive line. Jackson is an accomplished guard for the Buckeyes, fits that bill, and could be a first-round pick very well.
RB TreVeyon Henderson 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- Sports Illustrated: Round 3
- Pro Football Network: Round 1, Pick 29
Amongst a stacked running back class, Henderson’s range is vast. If an RB-needy team in the first round believes in him — as rumor has spread that the Denver Broncos at No. 20 is kicking the tires on the idea — he could go in the first round. If he doesn’t, he may have to wait until the third round, when many other second-tier running backs will begin to hear their name.
RB Quinshon Judkins 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- The Athletic: Round 2, Pick 37
- NFL.com: Round 2, Pick 41
Judkins’ consensus draft projection is just outside of the first round. He’s not in the top-tier of backs but could earn carries immediately in a rotational setting similar to the situation he was in at Ohio State. The Raiders and Bears, at 37 and 41, respectively, need to select running backs but may not get their guy in the first round. Judkins could hear his name called early on Day 2.
QB Will Howard 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- Sports Illustrated: Round 3, Pick 68
- NFL.com: Round 4, Pick 112
Howard, the conductor of the national championship-winning offense, rose greatly during the title run. He’s now being touted as a potential Day 2 pick, with the floor of being selected early on in Day 3.
S Lathan Ransom 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- Pro Football Focus: Round 4, Pick 117
- The Athletic: Round 4, Pick 136
Ransom had a solid year for the Buckeyes and improved his draft stock to the point where he’s a solid round-four to early round-five guy. It’s unlikely he’ll be any higher or lower than that.
CB Denzel Burke 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- Yahoo! Sports: Round 4
- 33rd Team: Round 4
Burke came into the season with high expectations but couldn’t quite live up to them, as inconsistencies plagued him. Still talented, he projects as a fourth-rounder with little ability to be selected any higher.
C Seth McLaughlin 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- Sports Illustrated: Round 5
- CBS Sports: Round 5
McLaughlin’s range seems to have settled in on the fifth round. Centers have been devalued in recent years, but that late in the draft, teams with a void there could take a look at the Buckeyes’ interior offensive lineman.
LB Cody Simon 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- USA Today: Round 7
- CBS Sports: Round 6
Teams tend to select experienced, proven players who have done it on the biggest stages despite talent deficiencies. Simon fits that bill and is unlikely to go undrafted, but he won’t hear his name called until late in Day 3.
CB Jordan Hancock 2025 NFL Draft Landing Spots
- NFL Draft Buzz: Round 7
- The Draft Network: Round 6
Hancock should hear his name called, albeit in the later rounds.

The Ohio State name and the experience he gained from the national championship run should serve him well over other cornerbacks late in the draft.
