Ranking the Top 2025 WNBA Prospects

    1) G Paige Bueckers, UConn

Paige Bueckers is a player that has no holes in her game. She can get to the basket and finish through contact, shoot the midrange at a high level, and shoot the three-ball with excellent efficiency and range.

Bueckers can also guard 1-4 on the defensive end, block shots, and read the passing lanes well. She is one of the best draft prospects we have seen.

    2) C Dominique Malonga, France

Dominique Malonga is a raw talent, but her potential is through the roof. She has tremendous athleticism for her 6-foot-6 frame and can make an instant impact defensively.

The evolution of her offensive game will determine her success in the WNBA. Malonga can finish well around the basket, but she needs to add some post moves and a consistent jump shot to reach her full potential.

    3) G Sonia Citron, Notre Dame

Sonia Citron is one of the better pure shooters in this draft, but she is much more than a shooter. She can score from all three levels on the court and can play high-quality defense on the perimeter. Citron can create her own offense and play off-ball. Citron has the potential to be a multiple-time all-star in the WNBA.

    4) F Kiki Iriafen, USC

Kiki Iriafen is one of the best players in this draft and has star potential in the WNBA. Her ability on the court has grown every year in college. She can score over each shoulder in the post, has a good mid-range game, and is efficient.

To reach star status in the WNBA, she must develop a respectable three-point shot and remain consistent on the defensive end.

    5) F Aneesah Morrow, LSU

Aneesah Morrow is the best rebounder in the draft. Her relentless motor has allowed her to dominate the offensive and defensive glass, even though she is only 6’1″. That height could be slightly problematic at the WNBA level.

Morrow has elevated her offensive skill set every year in college, but she will need to become a more consistent shooter and ball handler to reach her star potential in the WNBA.

    6) G Shyanne Sellers, Maryland

Shyanne Sellers is a guard with an all-around offensive skill set. She can orchestrate an offense and create her own offense. Sellers has all the physical tools to succeed at the next level. She is a much improved three-point shooter, and with her 6-foot-2 frame, she has the potential to be a high-level offensive guard in the WNBA.

    7) G Hailey Van Lith, TCU

Hailey Van Lith is one of the players in this year’s draft who has made massive improvements from last year to this year. Van Lith always could get her shot, whether that was in the paint, in the mid-range, or at the three-point line.

This year, her ball handling and decision-making have significantly improved. Van Lith could be a high-level two-way guard in the WNBA.

    8) G Georgia Amoore, Kentucky

Georgia Amoore has all the skill and talent to be a top three-level pick in this year’s draft. The only thing denying her that stature is her height.

At only 5’6″, Amoore might have a tough time defending the bigger guards in the WNBA and could be targeted in the pick-and-roll game. Amoore is an extremely hard worker, and that, plus her immense offensive skill, could make up for her lack of height.

    9) F Saniya Rivers, N.C. State

Saniya Rivers is one of the best athletes in this draft. Her great downhill speed and lateral quickness make her a talented defender.

Rivers should come into the WNBA and make an instant impact on the defensive side of the ball, but her position in the hierarchy of the WNBA wings will depend on the development of her offensive game. She is a good facilitator but needs improvement on her jump shot.

    10) G Te-Hina Paopao, South Carolina

Te-Hina Paopao was a career 40% three-point shooter in college. She has a quick trigger and can shoot the three with range and accuracy.

Paopao is a quality perimeter defender, making her a good 3&D option in the WNBA. She has improved as a playmaker since her first year at Oregon but will need to continue improving her ball skills.

    11) F Makayla Timpson, Florida State

Makayla Timpson is one of the best rim protectors in this year’s draft. Last season, she averaged over three blocks a game, among the top five in Division I women’s college basketball.

Timpson has improved as an offensive threat every year in college; last year, she averaged 17.5 points per game. Adding a consistent jump shot will benefit her at the next level.

    12) C Sedona Prince, TCU

Sedona Prince has consistently shown to be a talented center, but last year was the first time she showcased it for an entire season.

Prince played more games than she ever had, and she made the most of it by averaging the most points, rebounds, and blocks she has ever had in a season. Prince will be effective around the basket on both ends, but her lateral quickness could be problematic in the WNBA.

    13) G Serena Sundell, Kansas State

Serena Sundell might be the best natural passer in the 2025 draft class. Last year, she led all Division I women athletes, averaging 7.3 assists and having nine games over 10 assists. Sundell is a bigger guard and does a good job utilizing her size. She is not the most athletic player but is smart and deceptive.

    14) F Asja Sivka, Slovenia

Asja Sivka is a 6’4″ big who has grown in stature since she won the FIBA U18 EuroBasket MVP. She understands how to use her size and can stretch the floor. Sivka made three or more shots from outside the arc in multiple games this year. The question for her in the WNBA will be her lateral quickness and ability to play pick-and-roll defense.

    15) F Juste Jocyte, Lithuania

Juste Jocyte is a talented wing with a good range from the three-point line. At 13, she was on the Lithuanian national team, which caught the eye of scouts. Jocyte is a smart player, but she is not the most athletic.

In 1-on-1 situations, she becomes a target for guards and wings who take advantage of her slower lateral quickness. Joycyte has high offensive potential.

    16) F Sania Feagin, South Carolina

Sania Feagin is a good defender in the low post and is versatile enough to switch out on wings and face-up forwards. Under Dawn Staley, she became a good passer from the high post and can finish with both hands around the basket. Feagin does not have many go-to moves in the low post but is a good screen setter and offensive rebounder.

    17) G Aziah James, NC State

Aziah James is a talented offensive player. She is a good decision-maker and can be electric in the open court with the ball. James is an improved shooter from three-point range and plays bigger than her 5-foot-9 stature.

Her size could be problematic with the bigger guards in the WNBA, but she puts forth a good effort on the defensive end.

    18) G Lucy Olsen, Iowa

Lucy Olsen is one of the best pure scorers in this draft class. She can get her spots, and over the last four years, she has improved at making plays for others off her own shot creation. Though she isn’t the best defender, she reads the passing lanes well. Olsen can be an instant offense for teams in the WNBA.

    19) G Sarah Ashlee Barker, Alabama

Sarah Ashlee Barker’s stock has risen since she scored 45 points in her final game at Alabama. Barker is an aggressive scorer who can do it everywhere on the floor. She works hard on the defense and scores offensively at an efficient rate. Barker is one of the players outside the lottery with true starter potential in the WNBA.

    20) G Aaliyah Nye, Alabama

Aaliyah Nye is arguably the best shooter in this draft class, and her shooting will be her calling card at the next level. This season, she shot 45.5% from the three-point line and averaged the third-most threes made per game. Nye is decent shooting off the bounce but is a better catch-and-shoot three-point shooter.

    21) F Maddie Westbeld, Notre Dame

Maddie Westbeld did not have her most outstanding season last year due to injury, but in her junior year, she averaged over 14 points a game and shot nearly 37% from three. Westbeld is a solid rebounder and has good size at 6’3″. Her skill set is perfect for her to be a pick-and-pop forward with the potential to grow as a scorer.

    22) C Rayah Marshall, USC

Rayah Marshall is one of the best shot-blockers in the class. She is athletic around the basket and has good rebounding skills. Marshall does not have much of an offensive repertoire but can make a difference on the offensive end with her size and screen-setting ability.

    23) G JJ Quinerly, West Virginia

JJ Quinerly is a talented guard who did not get much national recognition at West Virginia. She averaged 20.4 points per game and 3.0 steals per game, both ranked in the top 20 in Division I.

Quinerly has a quick first step and is unafraid of contact around the basket. At only 5’8″, she is not of great size and isn’t efficient from the three-point line, which could limit her to the next level.

    24) F Alyssa Utsby, North Carolina

Alyssa Utsby is a tough forward who can play quality defense. Although her offensive game is not fantastic, she has improved her efficiency and shooting range throughout her college career. At the next level, she has the chance to be a good defensive forward, but developing a consistent three-point shot would be beneficial.

    25) F DeYona Gaston, Auburn

DeYona Gaston transferred from Texas to Auburn, allowing her skills to flourish. She increased her points per game by 14 points (22.3 ppg) and was most efficient. She is aggressive and will work around the basketball, but her height and lack of post moves limit her game at the next level.
