We may never see another Travis Hunter again. The two-way superstar did things that have never been done before in college football and was the best player in the country for most of his career.
However, Hunter may have started a trend of playing both ways, and many believe that 2026 athlete Salesi Moa might be the closest thing to Hunter right now, and the Michigan State Spartans seem to agree.

Michigan State Asks Salesi Moa to Play Both Ways
Moa is the fourth-ranked athlete in the class of 2026 and has been a superstar in his high school career at both wide receiver and defensive back.
Many scouts have projected Moa as a player who could play receiver or defensive back at the next level, but following his official visit to Michigan State, it appears that some schools want him to do both.
According to Moa, on his official visit to Michigan State, the Spartans staff expressed to him that they wants him to play both ways in college.

There’s no doubt that Moa has the talent to do so. He just wrapped up his junior year with 800 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns offensively and snagged two interceptions and a fumble recovery defensively.
Michigan State isn’t the only school targeting Moa, as the Utah native has official visits with the Tennessee Volunteers, the Utah Utes, the Michigan Wolverines, and the Oklahoma Sooners.

It’s going to be fun to watch Moa’s recruiting journey and if more schools other than Michigan State will want the young athlete to play both ways at the next level.
