USC 2025 Recruiting Update: Top OL Target Vlad Dyakonov Becomes Commit No. 22 For Trojans

As college football enters the spring part of its offseason, teams are beginning to get their commits and build for next season and beyond. This was seen most notably for the USC Trojans when they announced that Vlad Dyakonov, their top offensive line target, has become their 22nd commit of the offseason.

Dyakonov is yet another top target for USC. Hailing from Folsom High in Folsom, California, Dyakonov has announced his pledge to head coach Lincoln Riley and all of the other coaches, players, and fans of the Trojans.

USC Snags Top OL Target Vlad Dyakonov

The 6-foot-7, 275-pound offensive lineman chose USC over the Arizona State Sun Devils, the California Golden Bears, the Utah Utes, and several other colleges seeking a lineman, such as Dyakonov, for their recruiting class.

Noted by On3 Sports as the nation’s No. 34 offensive tackle, with his commitment to USC, he becomes the 22nd commit for the Trojans as a part of their 2026 cycle. Offensive line coach Zach Hanson was the lead recruiter and perhaps the biggest reason Dyakonov chose USC over other schools.

He made several visits to USC throughout this entire process. Each visit seemed to be better than the last for him, with perhaps his best coming back in February. “The trip was great,” Dyakonov says. “USC left a big impression on me, and I am very interested. I would say they are in my top schools for sure.”

Coach Hanson and cornerbacks coach Trovon Reed rolled out the red carpet for Dyakonov to join the team. “I like Coach Hanson and Coach Reed a lot,” says Dyakonov. “I like their plan of getting guys to the NFL.”

Dyakonov made it known that he had chosen to go to USC because of the next step of the NFL afterward. This is Dyakonov’s ultimate goal, and he says that the USC program has a great plan to get players to the NFL, which was ultimately a deciding factor for Dyakonov.

Dyakonov is the second offensive line commit of the class for USC. He joins four-star commit Esun Tafa. Dyakonov is set to visit the Trojans campus on the weekend of June 20.

USC’s recruiting class is ranked No. 2 nationally, per On3 Sports, even before Dyakonov’s commitment. The offensive line is still one of the big priorities in the future for just about any school, and the No. 1 prospect in Oregon, commit Kodi Greene, remains the top target on the board.

Beyond Greene, USC will continue pushing for more offensive linemen, such as offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe, four-star interior lineman Samuelu Utu, and the top recruits in all of Hawaii, Malakai Lee and Kannon Smith.
