What Is Will Campbell’s Arm Length? Comparing With Top OT Prospects

In his final season at LSU in 2024, Will Campbell delivered one of college football’s most consistent performances of any offensive lineman. He started all 12 regular-season games at left tackle and played every offensive snap in 10, including every SEC matchup.

Campbell, a finalist for the Outland Trophy, protected quarterback Garrett Nussmeier precisely, allowing just two sacks all season and only five across his entire college career. His polished technique, strength, and competitive edge make him a top offensive tackle prospect, even with questions about his 32 5/8-inch arms.

How Will Campbell’s Arm Length Compares

Campbell’s arm length measured 32 5/8 inches during the 2025 NFL Combine, which raised some concerns since NFL teams often prefer offensive tackles with arms around 34 inches. However, according to his NFL profile, Campbell improved that number to 33 inches on his pro day, putting him just below the mark many teams look for.

Compared to other top tackle prospects like Armand Membou, who measured 33 1/8 inches with a long wingspan, Campbell’s arms are slightly shorter but still within the acceptable range.

While some teams prefer longer arms, especially for tackles who need to keep defenders at a distance, Campbell’s ability to use his reach well and his strong footwork help make up for the difference. His quick hands and ability to stay in front of rushers show that even though his arms aren’t the longest, he still plays very high.

Campbell’s college production and technical polish make a strong case that arm length shouldn’t define his draft value. Despite measuring 32 5/8 inches, he consistently shut down top SEC pass rushers, allowed just two sacks in nearly 1,000 pass-block snaps over his last two seasons, and helped power one of the nation’s top offenses.

His blend of mobility, strong hands, and blocking IQ proves he can compete at the next level.
