UConn Huskies guard Caroline Ducharme, now a redshirt junior, has made her mark since joining the program in 2021. The Milton, Massachusetts, native played in 31 games as a freshman and later started four games in the 2023–24 season before taking a medical redshirt, according to UConn’s website.
As a sophomore, she logged 23 appearances with five starts. A product of Noble and Greenough School, Ducharme was the No. 5 recruit in her class, a McDonald’s All-American, and a Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year. She also earned 2022 All-Big East Second Team and Big East All-Freshman honors.

Caroline Ducharme’s Parents and Early Life: A Look at the UConn Star’s Roots
Caroline Ducharme, a standout guard for the UConn Huskies, grew up in a sports-driven household guided by her parents, Todd and Chrissy Ducharme—both former collegiate athletes at Williams College.
Todd was a football and track athlete, specializing in the decathlon, while Chrissy earned accolades on the basketball court and became the first girls’ player at Noble and Greenough School to reach 1,000 career points—a feat she later repeated in college.
Their athletic influence was foundational. Todd transitioned into a career as a technology consultant, but his discipline and drive shaped Caroline’s approach to competition. Chrissy, after graduating, returned to coach basketball and lacrosse at Noble and Greenough and also worked in admissions, reinforcing her lifelong passion for sports.
Caroline’s athletic development was further molded by her siblings. Her older sister, Ashley, played basketball at Brown University, and her younger brother, Reid, currently competes at Siena. Family games in the driveway with Ashley sharpened Caroline’s instincts, while hours on the court with Reid strengthened their sibling bond.
Growing up in Milton, Massachusetts, Caroline always looked up to UConn and frequently joined her family to watch the games, too.
While her parents wanted her to make her own decision, the Huskies’ tradition could not be easily forgotten. Throughout her life, her parents always had a “next play” attitude that Caroline believes has helped her overcome adversities.
