As the 2025 NFL Draft draws closer, teams are being linked to potential prospects. Despite the New York Giants now being linked to Missouri’s star offensive tackle, Armand Membou, an NFL Insider, has warned that a quarterback pick could very well still be in the mix for the team.
Membou has quickly made a name for himself as a part of the Missouri Tigers. He’s been standout above every other offensive tackle in this draft class. Membou draws comparisons to Tristan Wirfs and could be a fantastic offensive tackle in the NFL, but is a quarterback still in the cards for Big Blue?
Armand Membou Linked to Giants, But NFL Insider Warns QB Still In Mix
The Giants quickly made a splash in free agency to address their quarterback issue. Not only did the Giants sign one NFL starting-caliber quarterback, but they signed two. Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson will be at the quarterback spot for the Giants next season, but this may not stop them from drafting a quarterback like Shedeur Sanders for the future.
NFL Insider Diana Russini says just that.
“There was a time where I felt very strongly that the Giants wanted Shedeur (Sanders) as their top pick. Then I was getting a sense that was shifting a bit… I don’t really think that means they’re not going to draft a quarterback. I just think now the draft becomes super interesting with what the Giants are going to do if they decide to go with the best player available.”
The Giants need a lot of help on offense, of course it starts with their quarterback position, but that’s certainly not where it ends. They especially need to add another building block to their young, but impressive offensive line.
The Giants have had some issues building a quality offensive line for a few years now.
However, if Andrew Thomas can stay healthy, and the addition of a player with massive potential like Membou could give the Giants the bookend duo they’ve been looking for now for the past few years.

Despite Membou representing an immediate upgrade, allowing Jermaine Eluemunor to shift back inside, it’s hard to see the Giants going this route after re-signing guards Greg Van Roten and Aaron Stinnie, and tackles James Hudson and Stone Forsythe in free agency.
So, a quarterback could very well still be in the cards for Big Blue.
