Shedeur Sanders Admitted to No Pressure—Flipped the Script with X-Factor Swagger at Colorado Pro Day

Speaking at Colorado’s Pro Day, Shedeur Sanders discussed pressure, the most important part of football for him, his relationship with his receivers and Travis Hunter, and why scouts and fans are getting him completely wrong.

Originally projected to be in a battle for the first pick of the Draft with Miami’s Cam Ward, certain reports have indicated that Sanders may have potentially entered a battle with Ole Miss’s Jaxon Dart for the second quarterback spot.

Shedeur Sanders Laughs Off Pressure, Calls Himself the Best in Crunch Time

When asked whether he felt any additional pressure due to the fact he didn’t take part in the NFL Combine, the Buffaloe’s Quarterback simply laughed at the suggestion, cockily suggesting that he never feels any additional pressure in his life.

“There’s pressure when I wake up in the morning, so you know, there’s no added pressure anywhere in my life at all.”

Sanders reaffirmed this statement when talking about his Two-Minute Drill, or Crunch Time, claiming that he was the best in the entire class and in the country when it came to high-pressure situations.

“I know that’s where I’m the best in the class, and the best in the country, that two minute. That’s where my X factor comes out in.” Sanders stated during his pro day interview.

Built on Chemistry: Sanders Highlights His Strong Connection With Travis Hunter

One of the main narratives surrounding the Draft prospect, and the fact that he chose not to attend the combine, was that he felt more comfortable throwing to his own receivers from Colorado, including Heisman winner Travis Hunter.

Shedeur spoke about his relationship with his Wide receiver and Cornerback, referring to their multiple years of connection.

“I got on Travis yesterday, since I found out he was running routes, I want to of course work with him at all times, we have so many years of connection and it just happens when we get out there, both our eyes get big and we just connect.” Sanders answered when asked about his relationship with the Heisman winner.

Sanders also complained about fans and scouts claiming he couldn’t throw a deep ball, mocking them sarcastically when the fact was brought up. The Colorado Quarterback has made 47 big-time throws since 2023, the 5th most in FBS, tied with Jaxon Dart.

“I just know that’s the Devil trying to get at me; I’m not really tripping on it.”
