    7-foot junior forward Shawn Phillips Jr. has entered the transfer portal. The forward played in 31 games and started 12 of them in his second season with Arizona State last year. The 20-year-old recorded an average of 5.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks across 18 minutes per game. He also recorded a pair of double-doubles as he became a key player for the Sun Devils.

    The forward enjoyed some big games towards the end of the season, including 11 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocks in Arizona State’s loss to Kansas State in the Big 12 Tournament. Philips Jr. has been with the Sun Devils for two seasons after transferring from LSU in 2023.     The big forward began his college career at LSU. However, he saw limited action as a freshman as he was constantly overlooked. Despite his limited game time, Phillips Jr. averaged 1.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per game before transferring to Arizona State.
